Garden Lights add a lot to the ambience of your garden, backyard, patio, terrace, or rooftop. In daytime they are lovely pieces of decor while at night they set the mood with beautiful and soothing ambience through their soft warm light and remarkable shadow patterns.

Being solar powered means no concern about running costs or switching them on/off every time since they’re equipped with a light sensor, so they automatically switch ON when dark and OFF when its bright enough. No surprise then that garden lights whether lanterns, stakes, jars or any other type have proven so popular with raving customer reviews. We personally love what they’ve done to our little outdoor space and so have all our customers who bought them!

To fully appreciate garden lights and make the most out of them here’s what you need to know:

THEY DO NOT REPLACE TRADITIONAL LIGHT SOURCES: The first thing you need to know about garden lights is they serve as mood, ambience, and table lights. They DO NOT adequately light up the space they’re placed in. They’re meant to add a beautifying touch and that’s a job they do perfectly. If you’ve ever used garden stakes you’d know they’re great pathway lights much like road reflectors but they can never be expected to replace street lamps!

LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING: It’s not uncommon to mistakenly assume those lanterns are larger or brighter than they really are. ALWAYS check product dimensions and technical specs to know exactly what you’re getting and how many pieces you may need to splash around your outdoor space.

WEIGHT EXPECTATIONS: Garden lights are not heavy. Lightness is an advantage as they are beautiful and delicate décor pieces after all and meant to be effortlessly carried or hung from branches or strings. This is particularly appreciable when they’re being used as table lights for dining or lounging outside.

IP RATING DOES NOT EQUAL MIRACLES: All outdoor products are expected to have some degree of dust and water proofing. We personally commit to offering no less than REAL IP44 up to IP65 products (You can also read our blog article Understanding IP Rating here to understand what those overmarketed letters mean). Basically, they mean you don’t have to worry about drizzling rain or accidental splashes, they do not in any way mean you can hose them down, flood, submerge, or keep them outside through harsh winters, torrential rain or sandstorms without risking damage and rust. We advise keeping them inside during winter or such weather conditions.

NO SUN NO POWER: To get full working time from garden lights avoid placing them where they don’t get enough direct sunlight during the day otherwise, they might die out too early at night. Normally you can expect 8-10 working hours on a full charge. A full charge requires about 6-8 hours under direct sunlight. For first-time use they need a full day in the sun to fully charge.

We know you’ll find a lot to love about garden lights, they’ll even give you a reason to look forward to lounging outside every evening!

On our part here at THE RAG BAG we made every effort to provide you with full product details and technical specs, so you know exactly what you’re getting and what to expect.

Because we love for you what we love for ourselves ❤️
